The Health Value Alliance is proud to recognise our CEO, Matt Hickey, as a co-author of the newly published second edition of Breast Cancer: Global Quality Care, published by Oxford University Press.

Reflecting on the publication, Matt said:

“As a co-author, it has been an honour to work alongside over 100 esteemed leading experts from 25 countries to create a book that offers a truly global perspective on breast cancer care — spanning clinical practice, health economics, epidemiology and resource-specific strategies. It also reinforces our shared commitment to advancing equitable, high-quality care for all.”

Matt also gave special thanks to Didier Verhoeven, Cary Kaufman MD, FACS, FSSO, Pankaj G. Roy and Sabine Siesling for their dedication in bringing the second edition to life.

Matt’s involvement reflects HVA’s continued commitment to advancing healthcare that is evidence-based, outcomes-focused and aligned to value. As health systems, payers and providers face increasing pressure to improve quality, demonstrate impact and reduce unwarranted variation, work of this kind plays an important role in supporting more informed, consistent and equitable approaches to care.

At HVA, we believe that improving healthcare requires collaboration across clinical, academic, payer and provider communities. Matt’s co-authorship of this important global publication reinforces that shared ambition: to support better decisions, better care and better outcomes for patients.
