HVA (UK) is delighted to announce its partnership with Australia's Shawview Consulting, to introduce QALYfAI® - our AI-driven healthcare and funding performance evaluation platform - into Australia and the wider APAC region...

The Health Value Alliance (HVA, UK) and Shawview Consulting (Australia) have joined forces to introduce QALYfAI®, an Al platform created by HVA that evaluates healthcare performance and funding, into Australia and the wider APAC region.

HVA was established with the support of leading organisations across healthcare, insurance, industry, academia and policy in the UK, North America and Europe to address a core system challenge: the structural mismatch between cost, quality, outcomes and risk.

HVA's QALYfAI® platform improves transparency, strengthens governance, and underpins system reform to address performance gaps, tackle soaring costs and secure long-term funding sustainability.

Matt Hickey, Founder, CEO & Chair of HVA, said:

"Globally, health systems are facing pressures that are growing faster than they can respond.

Australia is no exception. Pricing uncertainty, contracting tension, opaque outcomes data and escalating costs are placing the sector's stability at risk.

QALYfAI® provides evidence-based performance metrics, and a neutral value framework that strengthens governance, supports sustainable funding, and aligns with regulator expectations for value clarity and consumer protection.

These are all vital steps to ensuring the healthcare system remains patient-centric, evidence-based and financially sustainable, for all."

Shawview Consulting is an expert advisory firm specialising in health financing, system evaluation and reform, with deep capability in economics, policy and strategic transformation across Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.

Adjunct Professor Brendan Shaw, Principal of Shawview Consulting, said:

"Australia is entering a period of accelerated reform and scrutiny as private healthcare comes under mounting pressure.

Inefficient pricing, inconsistent measurement of outcomes and experience, and rising financial strain on providers and funders mean pressures on the system continue to grow unchecked.

Insurers, funders and governments must justify pricing, while providers must evidence performance and value if risks are to be managed effectively.

These pressures demand an evidence-driven approach if delivery and funding are to be sustained.

We are delighted to partner with HVA to bring QALYfAI® to the APAC region to meet these challenges head on "

The collaboration will initially focus on applying the analytics to transform fragmented clinical, operational and financial data into clear and comparable performance profiles.

For insurers, funders, governments and plan managers, the profiles will enable comparable value assessment, improved pricing and benefit design, as well as stronger compliance and reduced portfolio risk.

For clinical leaders, the profiles will deliver actionable insights on service quality, pathway efficiency and organisational value, while supporting contracting, governance and financial sustainability.

For innovators, profiling will provide the measures, and real-world evidence to demonstrate benefits and support risk-managed approval and reimbursement by payers.

For patients and members, the profiles provide clearer visibility of care quality and outcomes, supporting informed choices and confidence when accessing care.

Ultimately, the collaboration will strengthen the evidence base the industry needs for transparent decision - making, regulatory confidence and sustainable healthcare delivery across Australia and the wider region.
